Why I chose to work on this project
A Journey from Homemade Delights to Building a Food Ordering Website
As I embarked on the journey of developing a food ordering website, I couldn’t help but reflect on the deep-rooted connection I have with food. Growing up in a home where my mom owned a small food business, I was exposed to the tantalizing aromas and flavors that filled our kitchen. Witnessing her passion and dedication in crafting culinary delights for others ignited a fire within me — a fire that would eventually drive me to work on this project.
Cooking became my personal form of expression and a way to connect with others. I spent countless hours experimenting with ingredients, creating my own recipes, and delighting my family and friends with my culinary creations. The joy I felt in bringing people together through food was unparalleled.
However, life had its own set of challenges. When it was time for me to pursue my dreams at the university, financial constraints loomed over my aspirations. Determined not to let obstacles hinder my path, I tapped into my passion and resourcefulness. I started a small bakery and began selling homemade juices to pay my tuition fees. It was a rollercoaster of early mornings, late nights, and endless batches of pastries and bottles of juice. But the satisfaction of turning my love for cooking into a means to support my education was immeasurable.
This personal journey shaped my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the food industry. It instilled in me a drive to bridge the gap between local businesses and customers through the digital realm. The food ordering website project became my platform to combine my technical skills with my culinary background, creating a seamless and convenient way for people to access delicious meals.
Beyond the surface, this project embodies my passion for cooking, my determination to overcome obstacles, and my desire to create meaningful connections through food.
